Research under Dr. Tracy Hammond in the Sketch Recognition Lab. Lead developer on the web-based platform Mechanix which utilizes sketch recognition and machine learning to automatically grade hand-drawn physics homework. Developed all algorithms and managed deployment to 5 universities for use by over 1000 students in engineering courses.
Redesigned database and backend structure for Sketchtivity to greatly improve query speed while adding new functionality.
Lead developer on web-based, internal search engine used by dozens of employees at TAG Summit. Utilized AWS to massively speed up large OCR tasks through parallelization.
Developed platform for student radio station to control, organize, and plan their music library with over 100 DJs per semester.
Provided research project mentoring for over 10 students each summer in the Cyberhealth GIS Research Experience for Undergraduates program.
Worked with students from various academic backgrounds to plan and execute a 10-week multi-disciplinary research project.
Guided students on their senior design projects to keep the project feasible within the timeframe while remaining novel. Provided help to several teams with setting up servers and technology stacks.
Mentored undergraduate students interested in research on projects relating to sketch recognition, education, machine learning classification, and wearable technology.
